Newell Cheatheam, CPBD, AIBD, TIBD

President and owner of Newell's Designs, was born in Wichita Falls, Texas and has been practicing residential and commercial building design since 1967. He is a certified professional building designer and a Texas licensed interior designer. Architecture and the building industry have influenced his career since childhood. He was born into a family business of ranching, carpentry, construction, painting and paperhanging. Newell  worked many years in the family business that created the basic practical experience in construction that provides the knowledge in architecture, that he uses in designing creative building designs for clients. Through many years of education and experience working for architects, building designers, construction companies, and sales companies before organizing Newell's Designs in 1971, Newell developed the expertise in building design and construction techniques in all kinds of buildings, including commercial buildings, interior space planning, retail centers, office/warehouses, metal buildings, townhouses, resturants, private schools, clubs, auto shops, and custom home plans.

Newell has won numerous national and state building design awards and is well known in his field. Because of his vast multiple building design experience and he has been sought out as a design judge: for: San Antonio, Texas 1992 Summit Awards; 1990, 1992, 1994, 1996, 2006 Victoria Builders Assoc. Parade of Homes, TX; and 1994 Fort Worth-Tarrant County Kadiscope Parade of Homes.
